This website is run by Lightwork Design Studio (Sam Light). This policy explains how we handle your personal information when you use the site or send us a form. In it, "we" and "us" mean Lightwork Design Studio.
What we collect
- If you ask for the playbook: your first name and email address.
- If you send an enquiry: your name, the suburb of your block, where you are up to with your project, your phone number, your email address (if you choose to give one), and anything you write in the message box.
- Where you came from: if you arrive through an ad or a tagged link, we record the tags in the link (such as the campaign name) and the first page you landed on. We keep this note in your browser only while the tab is open.
- How the site is used: simple counts of visits and button clicks, through Vercel Web Analytics.
Please don't put sensitive information, such as health details, in the message box. We don't need it.
How we collect it
Directly from you, when you fill in a form. Automatically, through your browser, for the visit and click counts and the link tags described above.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk about your project.
- To email you the playbook, then occasional design notes. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To see which pages and links are working so we can improve the site.
- To meet legal obligations.
We don't sell your information.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers to run the site. They process information for us so they can provide their services.
- MailerLite, which stores our email list and sends the playbook and follow-up emails.
- Resend, which delivers enquiry notifications to us by email.
- Vercel, which hosts the website and provides the visit and click counts.
- Growbly, the studio that built the website and may access its systems to maintain it.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Overseas storage
Some of these providers store or process information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe.
Keeping your information safe, and for how long
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including limiting who can access our accounts with these providers. We keep your details for as long as we need them for the reasons above, or until you ask us to delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them.
Access, correction, deletion, and unsubscribing
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email. To make a request, email office@lightworkdesignstudio.com. We'll reply within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, email us at the address above. We'll acknowledge your complaint, look into it, and reply in writing. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
